The Objects for the Charity Mill of Benholm are:
To relieve the suffering and distress, promote the welfare and
advance (through training and work experience) the employment
prospects of people who have learning difficulties, physical
difficulties or are experiencing or have experienced mental health
difficulties by carrying on trading activities where the work in
connection with such trading activities is mainly carried on by
people who are experienced or have experienced such
difficulties.
To promote for the public benefit the preservation (whether
wholly or in part) of buildings and other structures or features of
historic and/or architectural significance, and in particular the
buildings and machinery (forming part of the industrial and
agricultural heritage of South Aberdeenshire and North Angus)
funning Mill of Bellholm.
To advance education (i) in matters relating to the industrial
and agricultural heritage, environment, crafts, culture and history
of South Aberdeenshire, and North Angus and (ii) through promotion
of the arts and (iii) though educational projects directed towards
active citizenship.
To encourage, stimulate and support volunteering.
To help young people to develop their physical, mental and
spiritual capacities, such that they may grow to full maturity as
individuals and as members of society.
To promote training, particularly in such skills as may assist
the participants in obtaining paid employment.
To relieve unemployment in such ways as may be thought fit,
including assistance to find employment.
To promote, operate and/or support other charitable projects and
initiatives for the benefit of the community.
